Overall, I had a good week. I did some decluttering, focused on fitness, and found joy in unexpected places.
Let's review my week...
Decluttering
I tried on all of the clothes in my closets (I have two: in-season and off-season) and was ruthless about identifying things to give away:
- clothes that don't fit (and realistically haven't fit me since 2015 when I ran the Marine Corps Marathon and was absolutely tiny)
- clothes that are out of style
- clothes that aren't flattering
- clothes that are uncomfortable
- clothes that fit comfortably, are in style, and are flattering, but I don't ever choose to wear them
- clothes that I'm only keeping because I spent money on them and I don't want to feel like that money was wasted (realistically that money is an irrelevant sunk cost)
I have five boxes of clothes to give away, and a big bag full of hangers. It's not quite as satisfying as decluttering usually is because all of the donation groups are closed right now so I can't get them out of my house yet. But they are boxed up and ready to go.

Joy
We got an ice maker! Our refrigerator's ice maker hasn't worked for years and it can't be fixed without replacing the refrigerator. We have been manually filling ice cube trays the way we used to when I was a kid. My Kappa Delta sister and college roommate Derika got a GE Profile Opal Nugget Ice Maker and shared the news on Facebook. I was so excited - I didn't even realize countertop ice makers were a thing! We've had it for four days and it is awesome. I'm drinking more water because I love using it so much.

Fitness
I continued to do daily yoga - 10 minutes in the morning with Kassandra's morning yoga program, with extra yin classes a couple of times throughout the week. I'm so grateful that many of my usual teachers are offering online yoga.
I also signed up for my first Disney races - a virtual 5k series. I'm going to train for them with the companion Jeff Galloway training program. I figure this will be like starting over and building up my distance slowly to be careful with my Achilles. I ran today using 30 second run/walk intervals, and incorporated a very generous warm up and cool down. It felt very empowering. I wore one of my favorite race t-shirts, "We Run DC" from my first half marathon, which was six years ago.
